Appreciation Hike: Schooley’s Mountain Waterfalls

Registration is closed for this event
Join us for a 3-mile hike to a waterfall and scenic vista in Schooley’s Mountain County Park.

The Trail Conference has built a stone staircase along the falls, improving a steep, badly eroded section of trail and improving the visitor experience. Located in the hills of western Morris County, Schooley’s Mountain offers miles of hiking trails, a lake with floating bridge, interesting rock outcroppings, a lean-to, natural amphitheater, and other public facilities.

This hike includes some moderate hills. Please dress for conditions, wear proper hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water, a snack, and any personal items you may need.

Trail Program Highlight: Celebrating Our Conservation Corps

In celebration of AmeriCorps Week and in the spirit of “getting things done,” we’re highlighting our Conservation Corps! This program is dedicated to training the next generation of environmental stewards to preserve the integrity of trails and natural areas and engage volunteers to inspire a deeper appreciation for the care that open space requires.

Join us in learning more about our Conservation Corps as we celebrate AmeriCorps Week March 13-19!
