Demolition of vacant buildings at future LG HQ underway

Ed Goodell, executive director of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference and one of the project’s most vocal critics, reacted to the news of the demolition with what could best be characterized as a shrug.

“I think it’s a good sign that they’re in it for the long haul, no matter what happens in court,” said Goodell, referring to the pending appeal of a Superior Court judge’s decision to uphold several variances granted to LG. 

...“We want them there,” Goodell added. “There’s no argument over LG’s location. Just their height.”
