Tuxedo Reserve public hearing continues Monday, Nov. 23

Body

On Monday, November 23 at 7:30 p.m. the Town of Tuxedo is hosting a public hearing on the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) on the Tuxedo Reserve development. The hearing will be held at the Eagle Valley Volunteer Fire Company, 14 Scott Mine Road TOWN HALL (updated info), Tuxedo, NY. This meeting is a continuation of the October 26 public hearing, which attracted an overflow crowd with many wanting to speak.

Details are posted on the Town's website - http://www.tuxedogov.org/.

This proposal would site 1,195 units plus 30,000 square feet of commercial space on rugged mountain land between the villages of Sloatsburg and Tuxedo Park. This area is now an important wildflife corridor as well as a pristine portion of the Ramapo River Watershed, which is a sole source aquifer supplying millions of people in Rockland County and New Jersey.

Turn out is critical.
